GET CONTACT LENSES

Contact lenses have to be prescribed and dispensed by an eye care practitioner. They are medical devices that must fit your eyes and correct your particular vision correction needs.

Seven steps to get contact lenses

If you would like to find out if contact lenses are right for you, follow these steps:

  1. Use our online tool to find an eye care practitioner near you then make an appointment for an eye test and contact lens fitting.
  2. Read our list of questions to find out what to ask your eye care practitioner.
  3. Find out how to get a Free1 Trial Pair of ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses here.

If you and your eye care practitioner agree contact lenses are a good choice for you:

  1. Decide together which is the best type of contact lens for you.
  2. Have your contact lens fitting and try some on to make sure you get the right fit for your eyes.
  3. Follow you eye care practitioner’s instructions for putting in, taking out and replacing your contact lenses.
  4. If you choose reusable contact lenses, ask your eye care practitioner to show you how to clean them.

You’ll be able to wear your contact lenses straight away, providing your eye care practitioner has some in stock. However, you may have to go back in a week or so to collect your full supply.

Remember to visit your eye care practitioner again as requested to check the health of your eyes and that you are wearing the right contact lens prescription.

If your contact lenses become uncomfortable or you notice your eyesight deteriorating, don’t wait for your next appointment – book an appointment with your eye care practitioner as soon as you can.
