You may ask yourself how often you should change your contact lenses. For health care and comfort reasons it is important to do that regularly.
When you first receive your contact lenses, your eye care professional will tell you how long you can wear them, and how often they have to be replaced.
Generally, ACUVUE® Brand Contact Lenses are recommended to be worn and replaced on one of three replacement schedules:
Daily disposable lenses
Wear these lenses for one day, then simply discard and replace with a fresh, new pair the next day. No need for cleaning, disinfecting or storing.
Try ACUVUE® daily disposable lenses
Reusable lenses
Wear these lenses for one day, but rather than discard them at the end of the day you clean and disinfect them, then store them in a contact lens case until you reapply (you’ll find many multi-purpose contact lens solutions that clean and disinfect in one step, making lens care even easier). ACUVUE® OASYS® with HYDRACLEAR™ Plus is worn as a daily reusable lens should be replaced every two weeks with a new pair. Remember to change your lens case as recommended by your optician.
Extended wear lenses
You can also wear some contact lenses continuously, even while sleeping. ACUVUE® OASYS can be worn for up to six nights before you discard them and replace with a fresh pair. If you remove them before the end of the wear schedule, you’ll need to clean and disinfect them before you reapply.
