Need help on how to insert or remove contact lenses? Once you've done it a few times it becomes second nature. Read our guide to find out how.
To keep your eyes and vision as healthy as possible, you should always make sure your hands are clean before you handle your lenses:
• Wash your hands with soap – non-perfumed anti-bacterial liquid soap dispensers are preferable to bars of soap, which can be contaminated more easily
• Thoroughly rinse off all soap to avoid contamination
• Dry your hands on a lint-free towel to prevent getting lint on the lenses
Follow our step by step guide to inserting your lenses
1. Wash your hands thoroughly as above
2. Rinse your lens with solution to remove any trace of debris (if you’re using a new lens, or ACUVUE® Daily Disposable Contact Lenses simply take them out of the package, no solution is needed)
3. To avoid mixing up your lenses it’s a good idea to always apply and remove the lens for your right eye first
4. Place the lens on the tip of your index finger, making sure the lens is correctly oriented by checking the inside-out marker
5. Use your other hand to hold your upper eyelid so you won’t blink
6. Pull down your lower eyelid with the other fingers of your applying hand
7. Look up at the ceiling and gently place the lens on the lower part of your eye
8. Slowly release your eyelid and close your eye for a moment
Follow our step by step guide to removing your lenses:
